As a physical therapist for equestrians I can say Laura has a real gift for understanding biomechanics, not just in the horse, but in the rider too. She explains things in a way that makes sense no matter your age or level, and you can actually feel the difference right away.
What I appreciate most is that she doesn’t just give instructions, she helps you truly connect with your horse so you can ride better together. I’ve seen plenty of trainers, but Laura has a way of breaking things down that makes riding both understandable and achievable.
If you want someone who really “gets it” and can help you and your horse move forward, Laura is the one.
Laura is a thoughtful, empathetic instructor who truly cares about her students. I had the privilege of leasing several of her personal horses, which are of a level of quality and training that is almost never available to lease. She’s especially talented at creating horses that are light in the hand and very rideable. She also shepherded me through my first couple shows!
Laura is extremely hardworking, determined, and wants to see others succeed. In a sport where it can feel "dog-eat-dog," she genuinely wants to see others (both horse and rider) succeed! Extremely knowledgeable and has a great attitude. Would recommend to anyone looking to up their skillset and love doing it! Clinics, lessons, etc. she does it all. If you get a chance to ride with her, don't miss it!!

Can’t say enough great things about Laura. She’s a wonderful person and her training style is fantastic. She makes everything so easy to understand and really gets to the root of the issue. Keeping the horses health and well-being first and foremost.
As a recreational but passionate rider, Laura took my interest seriously and respectfully. She is good about explaining information to cater to the student and altering lessons as needed to focus on building confidence and skill.
And very importantly she is thoughtful and kind and doesn’t rider shame.
I love taking lessons with Laura. She's great at breaking riding down with clear visuals and verbal explanations in a way that makes it all make sense to me. I appreciate Laura's goal of creating "thinking riders." It helps with confidence riding on my own to have the knowledge of to correct issues and/or correctly ask my horse for something when riding on my own without a trainer just telling me exactly what to do and when.
I take Pivo lessons with Laura weekly, but have also traveled to her to take lessons in person. Both provide valuable experiences, and make it possible for me to continue my riding education with a pro while living in an area that's lacking in local trainers.
